Carol McCall of Rush City passed away at Ecumen of North Branch surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 12, 2017 after a six month battle with cancer. She was 76.
Carol Ann Tesch was born May 26, 1940 to Elmer and Ann (Lindquist) Tesch in St. Paul, Minnesota. Carol lived in the St. Paul and White Bear Lake area for 31 years before moving with her family to Rush City in 1971. She worked for the St. Paul Companies for 16 years and retired in 1999.
Carol enjoyed her yard, flower and small vegetable garden in the summer. She also enjoyed bird watching, reading romance novels, jig-saw puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children Duane (Sandy) McCall of Stanchfield, Mark (Kristin Gutz) McCall, Joan (Keith) Goettl, Craig (Margaret) McCall all of Rush City; grandchildren Brett McCall, Bryan (Laura) McCall, Brittany (John) Stenger, Shannan (Chase) Gordon, Joshua Goettl, Kevin McCall and Cory McCall, Scott Jevne and Austin Jevne; great-grandaughter Meredith Gordon; sister JoAnn (Duane) Goldammer of Little Canada; nephews and nieces Duane (Joanie) Goldammer, Danny (Becky) Goldammer and Carolyn Goldammer.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Ann Tesch; husband Duane McCall; grandson Brody McCall; mother-in-law Elsie Wipf.
Funeral services for Carol: 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City with Rev. Laurie O’Shea officiating. A gathering of family and friends held from 5-7:30 p.m.
The interment will take place in the spring at First Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City ~ Olson Chapel.
