North Branch police reports major arrests and incidents that occur in the city limits. Chisago County Sheriff’s Office reports major crimes and arrests within Chisago County. The time refers to the time the incident was reported on the corresponding date.

North Branch:
Incidents:
April 24: 6200 block of Main Street, disturbance (in progress) in Central Park. (5:14 p.m.)
St. Croix Trail/Falcon Ave., domestic-physical (not in progress) (4:40 p.m.)
April 25: 38000 block of Tanger Dr., theft (not in progress) reported at the Nike factory store. (10:41 a.m.)
April 26: 6100 block of Albert Lane, suspicious activity- four to five mailboxes were open. (11:11 a.m.)
6500 block of 381st St., suspicious activity-someone trying to pick up packages. (5:25 p.m.)
April 27: 6600 block of 381st St., theft from vehicle was reported. (8:22 a.m.)
April 28: 5800 block of St. Croix Trail, theft of vehicle (not in progress) reported at McDonalds. (10:01 a.m.)
5800 block of St. Croix Trail, theft of gas reported at Holiday gas north. (11:48 a.m.)
April 29: 8800 block of 420th St., there was a fire call. (12:49 p.m.)

Chisago County:
Incidents:
April 24: 5800 block of 307th St., Stacy, vehicle crash, personal injury; a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle that went off road and struck a parked vehicle. When the deputy arrived on the scene, first responders were speaking with the driver. He said he had blacked out while driving and only remembered driving over the Sunrise Prairie Trail. His vehicle went off the road, into a ditch and struck a parked vehicle in a person’s driveway. That vehicle was next to another vehicle and was pushed into a third vehicle. The vehicles sustained moderate damage. The driver was transported to Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming to get checked out. His blood sugar was at 224; he said his normal level was 150. The deputy reported there were no signs of drug impairment. A crash report was done, and a driver evaluation was recommended. (1:23 p.m.)
April 25: Lake Blvd. and Gunflint Way, Shafer, crash-hit and run (not in progress) was reported by the Minnesota State Patrol.(5:37 p.m.)
April 26: 36000 block of Reed Ave., Taylors Falls, theft of vehicle; a deputy talked to the complainant on the phone, and she said her son took the truck of her deceased land lord on April 18 without permission. She said that she texted him and told him to bring it back and said he later told her he did. She was not home at the time, due to a surgery, so she could not verify this. She was contacted by Rochester police, who told her that the suspect was in detox for meth. The Rochester police reported the suspect was involved in a hit-and-run crash with a truck earlier in the day in St. Paul and fled on foot. He got a ride to Rochester from his father. The deputy will contact either the next of kin or a property attorney to determine who has ownership authority of the truck and determine if it was reported stolen. The pickup is currently impounded in Ramsey County. (10:58 p.m.)
April 28: 250 St. Croix Trail, Taylors Falls, vehicle off road; a deputy responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash into the trees. The driver of the vehicle that went off the roadway was intoxicated and processed by the Minnesota State Patrol. (10:04 p.m.)
April 29: 43800 block of Gladstone Ave., Harris, suspicious vehicle; a deputy arrived at the address and a vehicle was occupied by an adult male. The deputy observed him to be impaired in that his eyes were bloodshot and watery. Several field sobriety tests were conducted. The male was arrested for fourth-degree DWI, test refusal, open bottle, and driving after revocation. (3:29 a.m.)
April 30: 29000 block of Quinlan Ave., Center City, vehicle crash, personal injury; a deputy responded to a vehicle roll over. Upon arriving on scene, the deputy advised that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. The driver submitted to field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DWI. He was taken to Fairview Lakes Medical Center where a blood draw was completed and then he was transported to jail. (3:21 p.m.)

April 25: Dale Douglass Carlson, 46, Chisago City, domestic assault-misdemeanor, intentionally inflicts/attempts to inflict bodily harm on another.
April 26: President Pimping Austin, 25, Shafer, gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process, escaping civil commitment, two counts of fourth-degree intentional property damage.
April 27: Eric Robert Wild, 27, Lindstrom, probation violation, traffic DWI-third degree driving while impaired.
April 28: Jacob Robert Beriou, 27, North Branch, driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.
Brian Michael Carnes, 24, Taylors Falls, felony-fifth degree-possess schedule. 1,2,3,4-not small amount marijuana.
April 29: Vincent Artur Taffe, 25, Chisago City, fugitive from justice.
April 30: Kevin Ross Barrett, 35, Stacy, misdemeanor traffic-drivers license-driving after revocation, possession of amphetamine.
