Two in critical condition after crash in Taylors Falls

At about 2:14 p.m. July 1, the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single motor vehicle crash with injuries at 572 Bench St. in Taylors Falls.
It was reported that two people had been run over by a passenger vehicle and that they were still pinned underneath of that vehicle. It was also reported that at least one of the victims was submerged under water.
CPR and other lifesaving efforts were started at the scene by bystanders and then Lakes Region EMS. Both females, ages 36 and 52, were airlifted to Regions Hospital with serious injuries.
They are identified as 37-year-old Kristen Joan Christensen from Minneapolis and 53-year-old Lauren Lippman Damman from Minneapolis.
The driver of the Ford Explorer that struck the victims is identified as 67-year-old Bonnie Lea Rushfeldt from Dresser, Wisconsin.
The victims of crash are listed as in critical condition.
Assisting agencies included Lakes Regions EMS, Taylors Falls Fire, St. Croix Falls PD, Life Link Air Care and the Minnesota State Patrol.
The case remains under investigation by the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office. Charges have not been filed at this time.
