Family Pathways is honored to have been chosen as the recipient of the 2017 NARTS Community Service Event, Project Underwearness. This project provided local area residents in crisis with new underwear. Each year, hundreds of thrift and resale owners and managers come together for the National Association of Resale and Thrift Stores (NARTS) conference. This year they flooded Minneapolis.
As part of the conference, attendees are offered an opportunity to give back to the community hosting their meeting. This year’s campaign, Project Underwearness, entailed collecting and donating new under garments for women, men, and children. Underwear is something most people take for granted. So many people are surprised to know that new underwear is at the top of a wish list for many families in crisis. But when you are struggling to put food on the table or gas in your car, new underwear is often a luxury.
