Elaine “Pinky” E. Mold

Elaine “Pinky” E. Mold, age 81 of North Branch, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at her home.
Elaine was born on March 13, 1936 in Weber to parents, Ray and Loida (Splittstoser) Henricks. She attended North Branch Township Country School and graduated from North Branch High School with the class of 1954. She married Robert Mold on March 31, 1956 at St. John Lutheran Church in Weber. Elaine and Bob settled in a home next to her family’s home place in North Branch Township where she remained until her passing. Elaine worked at Green Acres Country Care Center and later worked cleaning homes in the North Oaks area as well as North Branch. She eventually went back to Green Acres where she worked 17 years as a nurse’s aide. She loved her flowers and gardening, crocheting and cooking. She loved her time on the trails and driving in the woods on her golf cart. Elaine spent many hours watching NASCAR and her favorite driver Jimmie Johnson. She cherished her time watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and just spending time with her grandchildren as well as lunches with her cousins and friends.
Elaine is survived by her three daughters, Jody (Keith) Asklund of Sunrise, Michelle “Tippy” (Mike) Sullwold of Brooklyn Park and Bobbi Mold of North Branch; her three grandchildren, Erika Robinson of Atlanta, GA, Seth Sullwold of Brooklyn Park and Julia Sullwold of Brooklyn Park; her uncle Alton Splittstoser of North Branch; and special friend Skip Soderberg of Isanti.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Loida; husband Bob in 1991; and her brother, Kenneth Henricks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch with Rev. Jon Yurk officiating. Music is provided by Deb Aulich and Jon Ekstrom. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Interment follows the service at Sunrise Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers are Keith Asklund, Mike Sullwold, Seth Sullwold, Julia Sullwold, Dennis Stenberg and Brian Mold. Serving as honorary casketbearers are Erika Robinson and Steve Mackner.
