Budget Host robber connected to other crimes

Police are seeking assistance to apprehend a pair of men who are suspected in a string of robberies.
North Branch Police Chief Dan Meyer said the same man who robbed the Budget Host Inn and Suites Aug. 13 has been implicated, along with another man, in other hotel hold-ups in Hastings July 29, Red Wing Aug. 2, Inver Grove Heights Aug. 12 and Woodbury Aug. 24.
The suspects are described as black men in their mid-20s, according to media reports. One has dreadlocks, is about 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants. The other is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and red sweatpants.
The man who robbed the Budget Host entered the hotel at about three minutes before midnight, brandished a silver handgun and demanded money.
Two employees were on staff at the Budget Host at the time of the robbery, and the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The pair of robbers are reportedly becoming more brazen with each crime.
