Swimming lessons and aerobics at RC Aquatic Center
Sign-up for individuals interested in Session II swimming lessons will take place on Saturday, June 21, at the Rush City Aquatic Center from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents of the Rush City School District who are interested in Session II lessons must register in person and pay $33 on the day of sign-up.

Preschool graduations

pre.jpgThe graduation ceremony for the Rush City Preschool program took place on Thursday, May 22 in a packed Rush City High School auditorium. Preschool Director Julie Thom led the students in song before handing out diplomas to the excited children.

Greater MN job seekers outnumber job openings by 3-1
The latest Job Vacancy Survey shows that in Greater Minnesota there now are 61,000 job seekers competing for only 20,000 unfilled jobs.  This means that job seekers outnumber unfilled jobs by three-to-one.

des1.jpgThe candidates for the 2008 Midsummer Ambassador Program (l to r) Dani Privratsky, Courtney Carpenter, Shelby Mork, Ashley Kroshel, Samantha Majorowicz, Janie Lee Morgan, Alyssa Artz and Kristina Pinna  hosted “Dessert with the Candidates” at the American Legion Hall in North Branch Sunday, May 18.

All candidates baked and served their finest desserts to the public, a wonderful time was had by all who attended.  Winner of the people’s choice award was Samantha Majorowicz.
