The great clean-up line-up

clean1.jpgFolks in Rush City and surrounding areas cleaned up their basements, garages and backyard sheds and brought all their unwanted items to the city garage yard for the 2008 clean-up Saturday.

Some spent about an hour waiting, but felt it was well worth it to unload their old appliances, TVs, tires and mattresses.

Appreciation for those who made this event possible was given from many in line.

Two minute jail update appeases commissioners
He walked to the front of the board room, took a seat and in less than two minutes, jail consultant David Pracher updated the commissioners on the progress on planning for a new county jail. The architect’s work is done, he said.
 
Business gets TIF to move into Stacy

Home counselling workshops are planned for Anoka, Eagan and Buffalo as part of Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s expanded foreclosure prevention agenda. Stacy City Maintenance Supervisor Tom Archibald reported to the council last week that the portable stop sign the city has placed on Stacy Trail to slow traffic on the approach to the bike trail crossing was stolen  April 1. He said, “We looked for it in the general area of course,” thinking someone had merely moved it.
