A donation was made to the North Branch Police Department and Fire Department during the Sept. 22 city council meeting. Robert Eddy, far left, from the Eddy Foundation with NorthStar Access presented each department with a $2 ,000 check.

Recently, Anytime Fitness in Cambridge, Isanti and North Branch showed their appreciation to all the unsung local heroes of our communities. Aware of how many dedicated teachers dip into their own pockets for classroom supplies, Anytime Fitness decided to help out.

As the educators in the Cambridge, Isanti, North Branch and Rush City school districts came back to their classrooms, Anytime Fitness delivered to each district an enormous tub filled with school supplies.
Anytime Fitness also presented all the employees of the various districts a special savings to show their appreciation for all they do for our children and for their future.

After more than 45 years in the construction industry, Knife River
Corporation’s North Branch manager Rick Hals is hanging up his hard hat
to spend more time on the projects he loves. Labor Day weekend was his
first official weekend of retirement.
