Cyann Castellano (right), a first-grade student at the North Branch Primary School, took first place in the district last May for her Loyalty Day contest entry. In June, she placed first in the state competition as well. Primary students were asked to draw a picture depicting the Pledge of Allegiance. She is shown above receiving her state level certificate and prize from local Loyalty Day contest coordinator Phyllis Lindberg.
Roxanne Wyman, a fourth-grade student at North Branch’s Sunrise River School, also won first place at the district and local level for her picture of the American flag in a natural setting. She recorded a second place finish at state.

The North Branch Ambassadors attended the 3rd annual Royal Sparkle night at the Metrodome on July 29. Prior to the Twins game the Royalty attended a reception outside of the dome and then were escorted into the metrodome and were introduced on the playing field.
Pictured are Ms Congeniality Janie Morgan and Ambassadors Shelby Mork, Alyssa Artz and Courtney Carpentier. The NB Ambassadors have had a busy summer with parades in Forest Lake, Isanti, Rush City, Lindstrom, North Hudson as well as being at community events representing North Branch.
