Poppy card event successful
The cities of North Branch and Stacy welcomed the VFW Post 6424 of North Branch on their poppy card event for our military veterans who are active and inactive for their country and for the sacrifices that these veterans make for freedom and our liberty.

The Isanti County Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) Program would like to alert you of the upcoming “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement effort. From May 19-June 1 our area law enforcement officers will be on the lookout for those not wearing a seat belt. Most people in our State choose to wear a seat belt.

ATV ordinance ignored
The Harris newsletter, recently mailed to all Harris residents, may contain misleading information that should concern all Harris citizens. The newsletter included a reminder that Harris had adopted an “ordinance imposing rules, regulations, and restrictions on the operation of snowmobile and recreational motor vehicles within the city of Harris” on August 22, 2007.

Last week, one of my colleagues wrote this paper complaining about the Transportation Bill we passed this year. I think residents of North Branch and all of Chisago County get pretty weary of partisanship and mudslinging.
