The Rush City school district is facing a challenging financial
situation and the school board, after discussing the situation at its
regular meeting Feb. 18 and its subsequent study session, has decided
to take a look at a four-day week schedule.

the district should try a four-day week schedule.

On Tuesday, Fe b. 23, ultimate success came to the 2009-2010 North
Branch Knowledge Bowl team as they captured the North Suburban
Conference title with a first-place finish by the team North Branch 1.

Culminating a unit on health known as Fitness Fever 2010, two North Branch schools held their annual beach parties. In addition to the fun of the lunchtime party, the students collected food for the local food pantry, made "Steps to a Healthier You" puppets, and at the Primary School, classes competed in a competition where they created a town made up of fruits and vegetables. The children at that school and Sunrise elementary, enjoyed bag lunches on beach towels and their favorite beach party activity - the Limbo. See video of the lunchtime party fun.
