Due to forecasts of dangerously low wind chill, Wild River State
Park and the Friends of Wild River State Park postponed the
candlelight ski/snowshoe/hike scheduled for Sat., Jan.
19. The candlelight ski/snowshoe/hike has been rescheduled for Sat., Jan. 26.

The candlelight ski/snowshoe/hike has been rescheduled for Sat., Jan. 26. Trails will be lighted with candle
luminaries from 6 to 9 p.m. A ski route linking the park's trail
center, visitor center, and picnic shelter and a hiking/snowshoe route
linking the trail center and visitor center will be lighted, along with
a short walking route to a bonfire in Amador Prairie north of the trail
center.
Refreshments will be available at the Visitor Center and
Trail Center. Ski rentals are available at the Trail Center or by
advance reservation by calling (651) 257-0685. Snowshoes are available
for rental at the park office on a first-come, first-served basis (no
reservations).
