Benson selected to all-star game |

Rush City senior Jason Benson was selected to play in the high school
all-star football game June 27 at St. Cloud State Unversity.
Benson, who played strong safety and running back for the Tigers, will
play on the out-state team which plays against the metro team. (The
out-state team consists of players outside the Twin Cites metro area.)

Last season, Benson was named the Great River Conference Defensive Most
Valuable Player and was also named to the all-conference team.
Tiger head football coach Greg Hills said Benson was notified about his selection to the team on Feb. 21.
During the game, Hills said Benson will most likely play the strong safety position.
“He’s a good player and a tough kid. He will fit in well at the game,” Hills said.
