Bombers derail RC’s season PDF Print

The Rush City girls basketball team fell to the Braham Bombers in the first round of the section tournament Feb. 28 62, 27. The game ended the girls season.

The Tigers finished the regular season 2-21 and 1-15 in the Great River Conference. The Braham Bombers advanced to the section 7AA quarterfinals on March 1 and lost to Esko 75-59.

Brittany Scheffer led the team with nine points and five rebounds and Amy Carlson ended with seven points and three assists.

The Tigers managed to stick with the Bombers for beginning of each half, but didn’t the weapons of mass destruction make any damage.

“Braham is a strong team and in the end we could not keep up with their quickness. I am very proud of the entire team for coming out and playing as hard as they could. The girls played with passion, poise and purpose in the final game of the season,” head coach Mark Henrich said.
