The Tigers extended their winning streak to four games with a win against Ogilvie on Feb. 29.
With Ogilvie running a 2-3 zone, the Tigers methodically pumped the
ball into the hands of center Isaac Roll, who positioned himself
on the low and high blocks, attempting to exploit the weaknesses in
Ogilvie’s zone defense.

seniors played in their last home regular season game against Oglive
Feb. 29. Front row (l to r): Luke Moulton, Alex Sterger, Zach Saumer;
second row: Andy Erickson, Isaac Roll, Jared Orn.
It didn’t take long before the seams of Ogilvie’s defense began to
crack wide-open, at which time the Tigers went on the attack.
“It was good to get a win in our last home game of the year,” head coach Jeremy Albright said.
The boys were able to attack the basket, drawing fouls. At the free
throw, however, they had a difficult time. For the game, the boys shot
just 8 for 22.
“We need to shoot better from the free throw line – more focus is needed,” Albright said.
Roll made 45 percent of shots and finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
On defense, Albright noted Cody Waters did an “excellent job” defending Ogilvie’s top scorer.
Senior Andy Erickson filled the state sheet with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Ogilvie made a run at the end, sinking two threes in the final
two minutes, but was a lost cause as the Tigers had the game in the
bag.
“It might have been ugly, but a win is a win,” Albright said.
With the win, Rush City improved to 13-8 overall and 11-4 in the Great River Conference.
Jared Orn 2, Luke Moulton 6, Derek Gorman 5, Justin Bosman 15, Isaac Roll 12, Andy Erickson 13.
Onamia
Rush City’s big three of Roll, Erickson and Bosman did their thing on
the court to give the Tigers a 64-41 victory against Onamia on Feb. 26.
After what Albright called a “sloppy” first half, the boys corrected
their path in the second half, outplaying Onamia many facets of the
game.
“Onamia is always a tough place to play, regardless of their record,” head coach Jeremy Albright said.
On the defensive side of the ball, Albright said they played “good defense.”
For the game, they held Onamia to 38 percent shooting and forced 19 turnovers.
In the turnover department, the Tigers were lower than they had been all season, and ended the game with just 10.
Roll nearly finished with a double-double, ending with nine points and
eight rebounds. Erickson ended with 20 points and Bosman added 18.
Up next the boys play Pine City on the road March 6.
Justin Bosman 18, Isaac Roll 9, Cody Waters 4, Andy Erickson 20, Tom Waters 4.
