Kenneth “Kenny” Dean Anderson, age 67, died February 29, 2008 at his home in Braham. He was born March 27, 1940 in Thompson, Iowa, to Ernie Anderson and Gladys (Peterson) Anderson. He moved frequently as a child but always lived on a farm. Kenny graduated from High School at Bricelyn, Minn., in 1958. He served in the US Navy from October 10, 1962 to September 15, 1966.
He married Maxine Stanton on May 3, 1964 at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church of Braham, Minn. Kenny was a “jack of all trades” and worked as a plumber, electrician, carpenter and also did janitorial work. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his grandkids.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his step-father Dale Zingg; sons Mike (Kim) Anderson of Rock Creek and Terry (Deb) Anderson of Isanti; daughter Felica (Lance) Freeman of Texas; brothers, Rodney Anderson and Doug Anderson; sisters Helen (Curt) Peterson and Sharon (Jim) Oulman. His grandchildren Bridgette, Tyler, Samantha and Ryan; nieces and nephews; and his significant other, Shirley Moline and family also survive.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Rich Chronis officiating. Music was provided by Ruth Grundyson and by Heather Servaty-Seib. Pallbearers were: Doug Christenson, Donnie Kogler, Mike Houtari, Jay Pierson, Kurt LaFontaine and Kevin LaFontaine. Honorary Pallbearers were: Gary Sundermeyer, Steve Tollefsrud, Dave Berg and Dick Westman. Memorials preferred. Interment was at Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.
Arrangements were handled by Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham.
