To the editor:
The best news that I have heard in a long time was when the legislature overrode Pawlenty’s veto. I admire the Republicans who sided with the Democrats. We need more money for roads and bridge repair. We can’t afford to have more bridges fall in the river and kill people. We also need more money for many more miles of light rail, more money for schools, universities and nursing homes. The people who vote against taxes only think of themselves - they don’t think of the common good. They should be ashamed of themselves. Yes, I am going to vote for Rep. Kalin, as will everyone who has the welfare of the people of Minnesota at heart.
