The Post Review is proud to debut “Community Talk.” If you check the upper left sidebar of the Web site, you will see a “button” for it.
Clicking on that button will bring readers directly to the new forum, which strives to give readers a voice in issues that concern them, from politics and local government, to sports and family.
Community Talk, and reader forums in general, are an experiment for the Post Review and the news industry at large. Online news readers have become accustomed to having opportunities to share their thoughts on news stories, and the decision to launch the Post Review’s Community Talk was based partly on the growing success of the comment section at the Web site.
There are distinct differences between the forum and the comment section that readers should be aware of.
Comments on news stories are moderated before they appear on the Web site. At Community Talk, readers will bear the sole responsibility for the things they post. As such, there is a simple and easy registration process during which readers will be asked to read and understand the usage policy, and provide a legitimate e-mail address for verification. The information users provide will not be used for any reason other than verification, and will not be sold or shared with any outside interests in any capacity.
As a general rule, the Post Review asks that users treat each other and issues kindly. Vigorous debate is welcome and encouraged, but users who abuse the privilege and violate the terms of use will be subject to losing their status.
Spam is always an issue and the Post Review is going to great lengths to eliminate it, but it is an uphill battle. Administrators will check the forum routinely for spam and inappropriate content, but will not always be right on top of it. As such, users are encouraged to e-mail

if they witness objectionable content.
The Post Review is excited about taking advantage of emerging technologies to bring readers cutting edge opportunities to be involved in their communities and news. There can be little doubt that readers of the Post Review will make the forum a valuable community resource.
