On Friday, April 4, Colin Ehrnriter competed in the State Geography
Bee held at Macalester College in St. Paul.
Colin, a 7th grader at
North Branch Middle School, qualified for the state competition by
winning the local school contest and then he had one of the top 100
scores on a test given to all school-bee winners throughout the state.
On Friday, Colin gave the correct answer to 6 of 8 preliminary
questions, but only students who scored 8 correct went on to the next
round of competition.
Colin represented North Branch Middle
School very well, and he will try to qualify for state competition
again next year as an 8th grader.
