Scheele, Raymond C., died April 13, 2008 at the age of 65 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital.Ray was born October 23, 1942 to Earl and Lillie Scheele of Rush City. Ray was a graduate of Rush City High School. On September 4, 1965 he was united in marriage to Vana Anderson of North Branch. They made their home in North Branch and raised two wonderful children.

Ray loved his job as a supervisor of a dredging crew on the Mississippi River where his passion for heavy equipment and engineering were greatly rewarded. After retirement he was able to enjoy the things he loved - outdoors-fishing, cutting wood and puttering on his hobby farm.

Ray was always eager to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He enjoyed his time at the “Table of Knowledge” at Denny’s Restaurant with his friends.

Ray is survived by his wife Vana; son Aaron (Ursula); daughter Marcy (Brent) Uphoff; four grandchildren Ian and Anson Scheele and Evan and Emma Uphoff; brother Dick (Marge); nieces and nephews.Visitation Friday April 18, 2008, 5-8 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home, 4th and Main, North Branch. Memorial service Saturday April 19, 2008 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 3652  333rd Ave NE, Cambridge, Minn.
