Virginia M. Sutton, age 77 of North Branch, died on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Comforts of Home in North Branch, Minn.
Virginia was born on Nov. 28, 1930 at Bucyrus, North Dakota to Henry and Anna (Brastad) Fisher. At the age of three her family moved to Bowerville, Minn. where she attended school graduating in 1948. She moved to the Twin Cities where she worked for the Hershey Candy Co. and later was a homemaker and daycare provider before going back to work as a secretary in the Chemical Engineering Dept. at the Gillette Co. She retired from there in 1990. She married Charles Sutton on July 1, 1950 at the Little Elk Lutheran Church in Todd County, Minn. She liked square dancing, camping and traveling the Western United States with her husband Charles.
Memorial service will be Saturday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sunrise Bible Church with Rev. David Stertz officiating. Music will be by Anna Gilkerson and the Faithful Men Group. Private family interment will take place in Cushing, Minn.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; son David Sutton of Blaine; daughter Debra (Ted) Dreyer of Sauk Rapids; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother Clifford (Alice) Fisher of McIntosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
