While gas prices skyrocket, you need to know that Representative Kalin was the key vote to pass the bill to jack up your gas taxes by 42 percent. As gas prices approach $3.50 a gallon and are likely to soar to $4 this summer, Representative Kalin has made it more difficult for families to fill up the tank. Representative Kalin chose to take more money from your wallet in order to support several highway and transit projects in Minneapolis and St. Paul. You will be spending more of your hard-earned dollars just because the liberal tax-and-spenders in Saint Paul like Representative Kalin couldn’t prioritize the $34 billion budget to fund the state’s priorities.
