RC softball team goes 0-2 to start season |

The Rush City Tigers softball team started out the year with a couple of losses on the road.
On Monday, April 21, the team traveled to Willow River and came home with a 3-0 loss. Jade Kristofferson and Brittany Scheffer combined on a five-hitter while striking out five batters. The Tigers managed six hits and had girls in scoring position every inning except the third but could not get them across the plate.
Leading the team in hitting was Tomi Schellbach and Lynn Adrion, both going two for three at the plate. Amy Carlson and Jade Kristofferson also had a hit for the Tigers. “We played very good defense and both of my pitchers threw well. We had our chances and Moose Lake made some nice defensive plays to end rallys,” said coach Kim Erdman.
The following day the Tigers traveled to Isle and lost a close conference game
5-4.
Jade Kristofferson pitched five innings walking one and striking out six batters. Again the defense looked good and the Tigers outhit Isle seven to six. Chelsea Peterson and Lynn Adrion both went two for three. Tomi Schellbach, Brittany Scheffer, and Ariel Peterson all had one hit in the game.
