Underage drinking task force launched |

The Chisago County Underage Drinking Task Force begins its work this month in a response to the U.S. Surgeon General’s “Call to Action to Prevent and Reduce Underage Drinking.”
Chisago County Underage Drinking Task Force invites input from interested persons from all corners of Chisago County, and from all backgrounds. The Task Force is especially looking for local youth, parents, teachers, religious leaders, business owners, health providers, and community stakeholders to assist in this grassroots movement.
The participants of the Chisago County Underage Drinking Task Force will come together to design communitywide strategies to deter and ultimately eliminate underage drinking. All who are interested are welcomed to join the Task Force which meets bi-monthly.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, at 12:30 at the Chisago Lakes Area Library, in Chisago City. Thereafter meetings will continue every other Wednesday at the same time, alternating between the Chisago Lakes Area Library and the Community Partnership Offices located in the Trinity Lutheran Church, at 38460 Lincoln Trail in North Branch.
