County proclaims May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day |

The Chisago County commissioners were unanimous last Wednesday in declaring May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day in Chisago County.
The United States Congress has designated May 11-17 as National Police Week and the county board, through resolution, acknowledged the part the Lakes Area Police Department, the North Branch Police Department, the Wyoming Police Department and the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office play in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of the county’s citizens.
