Vikes get revenge against SLP |

The girls did a complete 180 last week as they toppled Spring Lake by 9 points, the same team they lost to by 26 points earlier in the season.
On Jan. 22, the girls beat the Panthers, 43-34.
The Vikings extended Spring Lake Park’s losing streak to nine games with their win.
North Branch (5-12) had Rikki Beaver come off the bench and provide a spark to the get offensive fire ablaze. She scored the Vikings first five points of the game.
“Rikki gave us a great start,” head coach Dan Schindler said.
From there, the girls used a keen defense sense to hold the Panthers to a mere 34 points.
“We played good team defense and took care of the basketball enough to get more offensive possessions. We still need to score more, but our defense was great and kept us in the game,” Schindler said.
Senior Kristen Robatcek led the team with 14 points and seven steals. Senior post Ashley Johnson added 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Amanda Sylla’s hustle on the Vikings full-court pressure proved fruitful as she got seven steals.
“Our goal the second half of the season is to see improvement as we now play everyone in the conference again,” Schindler said.
