Moving ‘Wall’ coming to Sandstone |

Visit the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. and be awed. Have a half-size replica of the memorial visit your town, and be moved beyond words.
Sandstone, is preparing for a visit of the Vietnam Combat Veterans “Moving Wall” July 10 - 14. They invite everyone to come to their community to share in the experience.
An opening ceremony will be held in front of The Wall on Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. in Train Park in the middle of downtown Sandstone. On Saturday, July 12, a dedication ceremony will take place in front of the Wall. Seating is limited, so visitors who can should bring lawn chairs. The memorial will remain open 24 hours a day through July 14. Visitor guides will be on hand at all times to help visitors find names on the wall, answer questions, assist with rubbings, and provide comfort.
