The North Branch kick dance team took fifth place out of 11 teams and the jazz dance team seventh out of 11 teams, to end their seasons at the Section 2AA Championship Meet, Feb. 6. Only the top three teams advance to the State Dance Tournament which will be held at the Target Center, Feb. 12.

The North Branch girls gymnastics team defeated Fridley 126.975-110.4, Feb. 4.  The junior varsity Viking girls team took fourth place out of eight teams in the North Suburban Conference JV Championship Meet, Feb. 6. The North Branch gymnastic team is now ranked third in the North Suburban Conference with a 5-2 record. The Viking girls team next competes in the North Suburban Conference Championship Meet at Irondale High School in New Brighton at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The Rush City/Pine City/ Hinckley-Finlayson girls gymnastics team took second place with 134.8 points, ahead of New London-Spicer (134 points) and behind Big Lake (145.6 points) at the Peppermint Twist Tournament in Big Lake Feb. 6. The Tiger girls gymnastic team will next host Fridley at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11.

The Pine City/Rush City boys hockey team defeated  Ely/Tower/Soudan 7-6, Feb. 6. The Dragon boys team is now ranked sixth in the Two Rivers Conference with a 3-7 conference and 7-14 overall record. The Pine City/Rush City boys hockey team will next host Mora/Hinckley-Finlayson (ranked fifth in conference, with a 5-7 conference and 10-10 overall record) at Pine City Arena at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The Rush City boys basketball team defeated Onamia 86-28, Feb.5. The Tiger boys team is now ranked second in the Great River Conference with a 9-1 conference and 13-1 overall record. (Braham is ranked first with a 10-1 conference and 14-3 overall record.) The Rush City boys basketball team next travels to face Ogilvie (conference ranked ninth, with a 0-12 conference and 0-18 overall record) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The North Branch boys basketball team next hosts Robbinsdale Cooper (first in conference, with a 8-1 conference and 16-3 overall record) at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.
