The Rush City football team ended their 2009 season as Section 7AA Championship Runner-Up, losing a 42-24 battle to Moose Lake-Willow River on Nov. 5 at Duluth's Public Schools Stadium.

The Rebels, ranked No. 3 in the state, continue on to the state quarterfinal, facing the winner of the Section 8AA Championship (Hawley or Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton) at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Fargo Dome.
