The North Branch boys golf team shot a 314 to take second place at the invitational at Tanners Brook last week.
Joey Courtright led the way for the Vikings with a great round of 75. Nick Kress shot 77, John Buboltz 78, Regan Nelson 84, Rob Hansen 89, and Cole Pearson carded 105.
“We are continuing to improve, and our scores are getting lower every time we play,” said coach Ryan Minke.
The junior varsity played their final match of the year at Elk River Golf Club in the JV Conference Championship where they finished in seventh place with 408, their lowest team score of the year. Reece Armistead led with 95, followed by Brady Sterbentz 102, Jake Olinske 105, Dylan Haider 106, Zach John 110, and Jesse Turnvall with 124.
“We didn’t finish high in the conference standings, but the boys carried themselves with dignity and class every time we played,” said Minke. “I would consider the JV season a great success, the boys learned a lot, and got some valuable experience.”
